Delmas at a glance
The town Delmas was laid out in 1907 on the farm Witklip. The Delmas name was given to the town by a French man named Frank Campbell Dumat, who was former owner of this farm.
Delmas initially started with 192 residential stands, 48ha Smallholdings, and 138ha of common area.
The town exploded into a large country town in the Agricultural Hub of Mpumalanga where the farmers farm with cattle, game, maize, wheat, soya, potatoes and chickens. There are huge chicken abattoirs that is run by companies called AFGRI, Day Break and Rossgro.
Delmas is connected to the following main roads: the R42, R555 and the R50, with the N12 highway just 10km away. These roads connect you with Pretoria, Johannesburg, Witbank, Secunda, Standerton, etc which is all within an hour's drive away.
The town falls in the Province of Mpumalanga, is under the Nkangala District Board and within the Victor Khanye Local Municipality area.
There are only two double medium schools in town being a Primary and High School with several other schools around Delmas. There are number of private nursery schools and crèche's.
With fast developing, exploding Delmas, we are surrounded by several mines, which provides many job opportunities for influx of people into the Delmas area.

Delmas town consist of several suburbs. We have a Mall satisfying all the needs, and a nine-hole Golf course, with Cricket, Soccer and Rugby facilities. Furthermore there are a couple of coffee shops in and around Delmas, and beautiful country scenery to enjoy.
We are fortunate to have a beautiful upmarket Estate called Westridge Estate, with excellent 24 hours security, gate control with electric fence and an open space for recreation. There are several similar smaller townhouse complexes around Delmas with good security.
Extension 4 and 5 in Delmas has beautiful houses which can be compared to the best of the country. This is the cream of the crop properties. We have an Industrial area just adjoining Delmas which has Industrial and Business stands.
Adjoining Delmas is the Botleng township. Botleng means "place of beauty" and is fast growing.
