"Montana" consists of several suburbs such as Montana proper, Magalieskruin, Annlin, Sinoville and Wonderboom. Large parts of the area lies nestled virtually in the foothills of the Magaliesberg almost in a world of its own. It has a warm Bushveld climate and is virtually frost free.
It is an ever expanding area with lovely green suburbs and homes to apartment developments further away from the mountain towards Northern Annlin. Also numerous retirement complexes and town-house complexes.
Montana is a lively neighbourhood with its own hospital, the Kolonade Mall, Montana crossing shopping centre, restaurants and the Wonderboom Airport. It also bears remembering that you're only 15 odd kilometres from the centre of Pretoria, and that you have easy access to the highway to travel to the Eastern suburbs and towards Johannesburg.
On the other side of the N1 from Montana, the Roodeplaat Dam Nature Reserve provides a wonderful outing.
A fairly short trip from the Roodeplaat Dam is the little mining town of Cullinan where it is easy to lose oneself in history for part of a day exploring the typical little corrugated iron mining houses, or going on a tour of the mine, which allows one great insight into the processing of diamonds after discovery.
There are ample schools in the different suburbs, and the Onderstepoort Veterinary Institute is just to the North of Annlin, creating a rental market for students
